FAQ
Is NoCut cheaper than Lemon Squeezy?
At $20 a sale, from 15 sales a month. Below that, Lemon Squeezy’s no-monthly-fee model costs less. The higher your price, the sooner NoCut wins, because Lemon Squeezy’s fee is a percentage.
Is Lemon Squeezy a merchant of record?
Yes. Lemon Squeezy is the seller of record, so it collects and files sales tax and VAT for you. NoCut is not: you are the seller on your own Stripe, and Stripe Tax can calculate and collect tax for you.
What extra fees does Lemon Squeezy charge?
On top of 5% + 50¢: +1.5% on sales outside the US, +1.5% on PayPal payments and +0.5% on subscription payments, according to its fees page. Payouts outside the US can carry a small payout fee too.
Can I sell subscriptions or license keys on NoCut?
No. NoCut sells one-time digital downloads: ebooks, templates, presets, courses as files. If you sell software with license keys or subscriptions, Lemon Squeezy fits better.
Can I connect the Stripe account I already have?
Not yet. NoCut sets up a Stripe account for you through Stripe’s own sign-up. It is yours: you log in to Stripe directly and get paid out by Stripe.
